Biking is one of the most popular summer activities in Breckenridge, and the perfect summer family activity for kids. There are plenty of bike rental shops in town and on the mountain that rent all types of bikes and attachments for ages 0 to 100. The best part is that there are miles and miles of free bike paths and mountain biking trails open all summer for bikers of all levels. There are even shuttles that will take you to the top of Vail Pass for a 20-mile bike ride that is all downhill! Get a bike with a carrier for the kids, get out there and have some fun.
The TenMile Flyer is a two-stage zipline located on Peak 8 with spans of 392 feet and 1,095 feet. With speeds up to 50 mph, it will be an exhilarating time for the whole family. To learn more, click here.

Breckenridge’s Mountain Top Children’s Museum: This unique museum offers a camp for children 5 to 14 years of age! Does the elevation make it hard to breathe in Breckenridge?
The effects of altitude that people experience when visiting Breckenridge are for the majority of people very mild. Shortness of breath is common upon first arriving at altitude but symptoms can be managed with proper hydration, rest or oxygen.
How do I get to Breckenridge Ski Resort in the Summer?
The BreckConnect Gondola runs for free 7 days a week in the summer, weather permitting. You could also catch a ride on the Breckenridge Freeride bus system, the transit center is located conveniently right next to the gondola.
